WiLL President Senator Nan Orrock (GA) took advantage of the recent Congressional recess and met with her Members of Congress.  On April 9, Sen. Orrock brought a delegation including Sen. Gail Davenport (GA), Rep. Sandra Scott (GA), GA WAND Executive Director Becky Rafter, and GA WAND Board President Dianne Valentin to meet with U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson's Deputy Chief of Staff and General Counsel Edward Tate.  They delivered a letter signed by 32 Georgia women state legislators which urges Congress to prioritize investments in communities and human needs instead of wasteful Pentagon spending.  Other topics of discussion included the Smarter Approach to Nuclear Expenditures (SANE) Act, the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Act, and veterans’ affairs in Georgia.

Sen. Orrock, Rep. Keisha Waites (GA), Rep. Michele Henson (GA), and WAND Board member Betsy Rivard also met with newly-elected U.S. Senator David Perdue's State Director Joyce White and State Policy Director Martha Zoller on April 13.
